Imphal, August 14 2025: The results of the 19th Meetei Mayek Competition 2025, conducted by Meetei Erol Eyek Loinasillol Apunba Lup (MEELAL) on August 3, have been declared.

Briefing the media at MEELAL's office near the IMC, on Thursday, secretary Lan-goljam Nongmailembi said the competition is organised annually to commemorate the day the Government of Manipur introduced Meetei Mayek as an educational curriculum.

A total of 15,070 students participated in the 19th edition of the competition held across 35 centres in the state, including Jiribam district.

The contest was conducted in 10 categories for students from class I to X .

Nongmailembi informed that 13 winners, including the Best Handwriting award in each category, have been selected.

The first, second, and third prize winners will receive cash awards of Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000, and Rs 3,000 respectively, while consolation prize winners will be awarded Rs 1,000 each.

The prize distribution will take place at GM Hall on MEELAL's foundation day, August 18 .
