CBC outreach event encourages citizens to hoist tricolour

The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, Imphal, organised a special outreach programme, "Har Ghar Tiranga", on Wednesday to promote national pride and unity by encouraging citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes.
Dr Engam Pame, director of CBC and PIB Imphal, along with officers from the CBC Regional Office, and PIB Imphal, participated in the event.
National flags were distributed to all the participants, accompanied by a brief session on the proper procedures for hoisting and handling the flag with dignity.
In his address, Dr Engam Pame highlighted the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign in promoting patriotism among citizens.
He commended the efforts of the Song and Drama Division artistes in fostering national pride through their music.
Reflecting on Manipur's history, Dr Pame honoured the sacrifices of patriots who protected the land and people.

of respecting the national flag as a symbol of patriotism and outlined proper methods for its handling and display.
Meanwhile, M Rustum Singh, assistant director, CBC Field Office, Chandel, shared facts about the Indian flag, highlighting its rich history and symbolism.
He urged participants to raise awareness about the flag's significance, particularly among children, to instil patriotism and national pride.
H Deepakumar Sharma, field exhibition officer, CBC Regional Office, Imphal, spoke on patriotism and the relevance of the national flag.
He highlighted the significance of the flag's colours, which represent the nation's unity and integrity.
Pushpa Maibam, media and communication officer, PIB Imphal, emphasised the vital role of government employees, especially those in media units, in raising public awareness about government schemes and programmes.
She stressed the importance of adhering to the flag code and reviving the spirit of patriotism and appealed to those gathered to respect and honour the national flag.
Dr W Urmila, field publicity officer, CBC Field Office, Senapati, underscored the importance of hoisting the national flag at every home through the Har Ghar Thanga campaign.
She outlined the dos and don'ts of flag display, urging respect for the tricolour in all forms - physical flags, photos, and paintings.
She also cautioned against disrespecting the national flag.
The programme featured a captivating performance by the Song and Drama Division, blending vocal and instrumental music in a harmonious tribute to the nation.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and a commitment to promoting national unity and pride.
