Naorem Priyanka welcomed at Imphal Airport

Naorem Priyanka, the recipient of the Football Players' Association of India (FPAI) Young Player of the Year 2025 award, was given a warm welcome upon her arrival at Imphal International Airport on Sunday.
Members of the Keirak Foundation Group, along with residents of the Keirak area, greeted her with garlands as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement.
The welcome reflected the pride of the local community and their heartfelt wishes for her continued success in bringing more laurels to the state.
Naorem Priyanka, daughter of Ibohal and Tombi Devi of Kakching, is a midfield player currently donning the colours of East Bengal FC.
She was recently honoured with the prestigious FPAI Young Player of the Year 2025 award.
Priyanka is also recipient of the 'Emerging Player of the Season' in the Indian Women's League 2021-22, Most Valuable Player at the SAFF U-15 Championship in 2018, and top scorer at the SAFF U-18 Championship in 2021 .
Over the years, she has played for clubs such as Indian Arrows FC and Kerala Blasters FC in 2022 nd represented Sethu FC from 2023 to 2024.Now with East Bengal FC .
Priyanka has netted 9 goals for the team.
Notably, she also scored a goal for India in an international match against Egypt held in Jordan in 2022.Later in the afternoon, Naorem Priyanka was felicitated at her birthplace Keirak Maning Leikai by Keirak United Development Association (KUDA) .
She started her footballing journey under the tutelage of Kha Football Academy, Keirak coach Khunjanganbi.
A felicitation function was also conducted in collaboration with Keirak Foundation Group; Youth Development Association (YDA), Keirak; Kha Football Academy; Kha Maikei Veteran Football Association; and Thouna Leibi Village Level Federation.
