Senapati, June 12 2025: Law enforcement personnel recovered over 2 kg of suspected heroin from a non-local passenger of a public carrier at Mao town on Thursday around 3:00 pm .

On checking of an outgoing passenger vehicle (Winger/MN02G 1247) two packets suspected to be heroin were found concealed in a bag of one of the passengers, which on enquiry led to establishment of the owner as Anshu Raj (27), s/o Raj Prasad of Bhojpur district in Bihar.

On opening of the packets in the presence of an executive magistrate and two independent witnesses, suspected heroin consignments weighing 1.021 kg and 1.020 kg respectively were found.

A regular case has been registered for further investigation.
