AR apprehends three with 1.164 kg heroin

Imphal, May 11 2025: Troopers of 37 Assam Rifles apprehended three persons on Saturday and recovered suspected heroin weighing approximately 1.164 kg .

According to a police report, the arrested individuals have been identified as Minlun Valphei (34 years) of Gouchinkhup Veng, David Nehtinthang (32) of Sehjang village and Lunkholal (53), of Apollo Veng, all under Churachandpur district.

In all, 97 soap cases containing suspected heroin weighing around 1.164 kg were seized from the trio along with a brown colour Bolero vehicle (MN 01W 9186) and three mobile phones.

The apprehended individuals along with recovered items have been handed over to Churachandpur police station for further necessary action.

A case has also been registered for investigation, it added.
