UCC honours academic, leadership achievers

Kakching, July 06 2025: The Unit Christian Church (UCC), Leikun Chandel, on Sunday organised a felicitation programme in honour of additional SP (operations), Chandel Dr Ts Chamna Anal, and assistant pastor Th Athoipao for their recent academic and spiritual accomplishments.

Dr Chamna Anal was recognised for receiving an honorary doctorate in Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in social work from the M2M Cross Cultural Mission Seminary.

The honorary degree was conferred in acknowledgement of his theological research and pastoral ministries among members of the Manipur Police Christian Churches Association, as well as his contributions to social work across various communities.

He was also honoured with the Best Leadership Award from the seminary for his exemplary leadership in church and community initiatives.

Assistant pastor Th Athoipao was felicitated for successfully completing his Bachelor of Theology degree.

In addition to the academic achievement, he received the Best Humble Award from the M2M Cross Mission Seminary, recognising his humility and commitment to Christian service.

Speaking at the event, reverend Dr Koningthung Ngoru Moyon, on behalf of the teaching faculty, extended his congratulations to both honourees.

He emphasised that the foundation of true knowledge begins with the fear of the Lord and expressed hope that their achievements would serve as an inspiration to fellow Christians and church leaders in society.

The programme concluded with a gospel message and benediction delivered by Unit Christian Church pastor Dr Seltun Peter.
