Assam Rifles organises medical camp at Tengnoupal

In a humanitarian outreach initiative aimed at delivering healthcare services to remote border areas, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at T Bongmol village in Tengnoupal district on May 21 .
According to a release issued by IGAR (South), the comprehensive medical outreach programme benefited nearly 40 villagers from the host village as well as neighbouring areas where access to healthcare infrastructure remains limited.
During the camp, the medical team conducted exhaustive clinical examinations and detailed diagnostic consultations to treat a variety of common and seasonal health complaints.
Villagers were screened for blood pressure-related issues, acute respiratory infections, seasonal fevers, abdominal complications, dysentery and chronic back pain Medical personnel also monitored vital health parameters, including pulse rates, to facilitate early diagnosis and treatment.
Essential medicines and pharmaceutical supplies were distributed free of cost to all patients attending the camp.
Apart from providing immediate medical assistance, the medical personnel actively sensitised the rural populace on the long-term benefits of rigorous personal hygiene, preventive healthcare habits, balanced dietary nutrition and the necessity of seeking timely clinical intervention.
