Two die in separate accidents

Imphal, June 12 2025: wo people lost their live and same number left injured in separate accidents that took place on Thursday and on June 9 .

A person sleeping by the roadside at Keikol, under Heingang police station, died after a Tata Hyva truck in reverse gear run over him.

The deceased has been identified as Gariban Manjhi (46) son of Nanhaku Manjhi of Sahvajput, Bihar.

Post mortem examination on the body was conducted at RIMS morgue.

Meanwhile, one Md Belal, son of Abdul Kalim of Lilong Dam, who was riding a KTM bike (MN 06 SH 3868) along with two pillion riders, succumbed to injuries after the two-wheeler hit a Santro car (MN01X1861), at Uningkhong village under Khongjom police Station on June 9 around 11:30 pm .

Both the vehicles were travelling from Khongjom towards Wangjing.

The two pillion riders, however, survived with minor injuries.
