Imphal, July 01 2025:
As the current conflict stretches into its second year without solution in sight, Republican Party of India (RPI) Athawale national secretary and state president Maheshwar Thounaojam has questioned the validity of leaders engaging in continued blame game over the crisis.
He made the statement at the prize distribution function of the first State-Level Mathematics Competition organised by Just Mateng Service Private Limited at Art Science Hall of Manipur University on Monday.
Maheshwar said that everyone is suffering due to the conflict which has been going on for more than two years.
Instead of trying to alleviate the suffering of the people, the political class are more interested in hurling allegations at each other.
"If this trend of blaming each other would help resolve the conflict, then the politicians are welcomed to continue it.
Otherwise, they should focus on how to find a solution to end the crisis," he asserted.
Echoing public sentiments, he remarked that dirty politics being the cause of all chaos, the current crisis should be resolved through politics.
He urged the youth to join politics to help rectify the wrongs done in the past.
It is the wish of the people to end the conflict, he said, and urged all concerned to stop being perfunctory with the people.
