Red Shield Division illuminates Laikhong with solar lights

The Red Shield Division of the Indian Army has inaugurated a significant Solar Street Lights project, installing solar lights across Laikhong village in Imphal East district.
This initiative, executed on March 27, under "Operation Sadbhavana".
aimed to reinforce and strengthen civil-military relations while supporting the common goal of boosting community development.
Laikhong village, which is home to economically weaker sections, previously faced challenges due to inadequate lighting, impacting the safety and mobility of its residents.
The new solar lights are expected to enhance visibility, security, and safer movement for the community with minimal disruption to daily activities.
The project highlighted the Indian Army's commitment to sustainable development through eCo-friendly solutions and improving the quality of life in remote areas.
The villagers expressed their gratitude and support for the continued efforts of the Indian Army in stabilising the situation in the region with dedicated actions for the peace and development of the village and the community.
