District level Youth Festival organised

Imphal, September 25 2022: Celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Thoubal and the district administration jointly organised district level Youth Festival at DC Office Complex, Thoubal on Saturday with DC A Subhash Singh as chief guest.

In a release, NYK, Thoubal informed that six competitive events were organised as part of the Festival.

The main function started from 11.30 am with a welcome cum introductory speech by NYK Thoubal district youth officer Michael Thangminlien Mate followed by Youth Convention during which dignitaries cum resource persons spoke on various topics and interacted with the youth present.

The convention was followed by distribution of certificates and Group Cultural competition, it added.

DC Thoubal A Subhash handed out the certificates to the winners of the competitions who included 1st position holder Ng Teresa, 2nd position for N Jotin Singh and 3rd position for Kh Sadananda Singh in Painting; 1st position Leimapokpam Prembala Devi, 2nd position Waikhom Angelika Devi and 3rd position Nirmala Saikhom in Poetry; 1st position Waikhom Gopi Singh, 2nd position Tolen drajit Ningombam and 3rd position Lukram Ronalson Singh in Photography; 1st position Albi Laishram, 2nd position Saiyonba Waikhom and 3rd position Valentina Ningthoujam in Declamation; 1st position Performing Entrancement Arts & Cultural Evolution Thoubal , 2nd position The Women's Society for Cultural Heritage Kakching and 3rd position Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School Thoubal in Cultural competition.

During the programme, sports materials were distributed to 10 youth clubs along with affiliation certificates.
