Th Chaoba Memorial Trust distributes pension at Langol Old Age Home

Thounaojam Chaoba Memorial Trust, Singjamei Thongam Leikai distributed monthly pensions to residents of Langol Old Age Home at Langol Ningthou Leikai at a simple function held at the home today.
The pension distribution programme organised the Thounaojam Chaoba Memorial Trust was attended by RIMS Director Prof A Santa; founder Langol Old Age Home Oinam Mangi; managing trustee Thounaojam Chaoba Memorial Trust Th Romen and trustee Th Ibemhal as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, Prof A Santa said serving humanity was serving God and lauded the effort of the trust to provide a monthly pension to the residents of the home.
He also assured all support for the residents of the home in getting medical assistance when needed.
Th Romen said the trust will continue distribution of pensions to the residents and work will be taken up to enroll the residents under the CMHT scheme.
Adding the pension amount they are providing is not much, Romen added that the pensions are being provided as a way of showing respect to the residents of the home.
He added that children who were brought up and supported by their parents are neglecting their aged parents, which is rather very unfortunate.
Speaking at the event, Oinam Mangi narrated the hardship faced while trying to start the home and lamented the fact that there are some people who don't even come to the hospital to enquire when their parents are hospitalized.
