New Govt likely in few months: Arunkumar

Imphal, May 18 2025: Wangkhei MLA Thangjam Arunkumar has stated that a new government in Manipur would likely be formed within the next few months.

On Sunday, the MLA inaugurated a new fence constructed and a tube well installed with his MLA LADF at Al-Huda Masjid, Mantripukhri Friends Colony, and a Meira Shang of Nongmeibung Women s Development Association Unit-1 at Nongmeibung Ayangpalli Road.

Speaking on the occasion, Arunkumar noted that the two-year long conflict has impacted everyone and the people are left without a government for around four months following the imposition of the President s Rule.

However, after imposition of the President's Rule, peace and normalcy remain elusive, he said.

Reflecting wishes of the people for reinstating a popular government, Arunkumar disclosed that the MLAs are making their best efforts to fulfil the wish.

He then expressed firm belief that the new government would likely be established within the next few months.

He continued that all communities have a huge role to play in restoring normalcy in the state and appealed to all to extend their help for the same.
