Imphal, July 14 2025:
The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has alleged that more than 150 bombs using high-end drones were dropped on four camps of the United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) and a joint camp of ULFA-I and PLA, the armed wing of RPF, along the border of Nagaland and Myanmar.
Denouncing the drone attacks, an RPF statement issued by publicity deputy secretary Roben Khuman said the attacks carried out by Indian Special Forces using high-end drones started from July 12 midnight (Saturday) and continued till 4 am of July 13 (Sunday) .
While no causalities were reported on the PLA sides, Lt General Nayan Asom, chairman of the Lower Council of ULFA (I), was killed and some of ULFA (I) cadres injured in the drone attacks of Indian Special Forces, it claimed.
Expressing its deepest condolences, the RPF statement noted that "heroes make sacrifices and no hero is greater than the one who gave their life for their country" .
It said that persistent drone attacks and proxy-wars orchestrated by the Indian Army against PLA and ULFA (I) clearly reveal the true nature and intention of India that the people of Assam and Manipur are 'Archenemies of India'.
"Historically, Assam and Manipur were not India but were independent kingdoms.
India knows the history and is convinced that Assam and Manipur cannot be occupied easily.
India's claims of the people of Assam and Manipur as Indians are all lies as 'Archenemies of India' cannot be Indians," the RPF said and reminded the people of Assam and Manipur that they should not be blinded by deceptions and temptation of the Indian government.
While insisting that sons and daughters of Assam and Manipur are not Indians and the states should not be occupied by India, the RPF called for resisting Indian occupation and defend the motherland.
