Lions Club of Imphal Greater installs new leadership

Imphal, July 08 2025:
Lions Club of Imphal Greater, Lions International, District 322D, held its Installation Ceremony for Club Officers and Board of Directors for the Lionistic Year 2025-2026 at the DIPR Auditorium Hall, here, on Sunday.
The ceremony was attended by immediate past district governor Thokchom Kesho Singh as chief guest, and second century ambassador and past district governor Mayanglambam Gojendra Singh as installation officer.
Outgoing president Arun Thokchom awarded 16 President's Appreciation Awards to distinguished members for their exemplary service during the 2024-2025 term.
In his farewell remarks, Arun expressed gratitude to the members for their commitment and support throughout his tenure.
The event was also attended by special invitees including Professor W Gopimohon Singh; Haobam Manikumar Singh, Kshetrimayum Ibotombi Singh and Anand Sapam.
Leaders from other Lions clubs Region VIII and Zone XVI, including those from Imphal Excellence, Imphal Global, and Imphal Northern Hemisphere, were also present.
Mayanglambam Gojendra Singh officially administered the oath to the newly elected officers: Ashok Lairenlakpam as president, Tarun Thokchom as secretary, and Khuraijam Deven Kishore Singh as treasurer.
The invocation and World Peace Prayer were led by Dr Laikhuram Tomcha Khuman.
In his acceptance speech, president Ashok expressed appreciation for the support of fellow Lions and pledged to continue their legacy of service.
He concluded with a quote from Lions founder Melvin Jones: "You can't get very far until you start doing something for somebody else" .
