Relief items provided to flood affected

Former Up Adhakshya Kshetrimayum Tama extended relief items to people of Kshetrigao assembly constituency affected by the flood.
She handed over water for people from Kongpal Chanam Leikai, Kongpal Naoroibam Leikai, Kongba Laishram Leikai Turel Manning, Kongba Laishram Leikai Turel Mamang and Kongba Laishram Leikai and people of Thambalkhong Thongkhong, who are taking shelter at different in relief camps.
Similarly, she provided water to local clubs including KYVO-Kongpal Mamang Sabal Leikai; NEYDO-Kongpal Kshetri Leikai, YWC-Thambalkhong, KCDO-Kongpal Chanam Leikai, UYLA-Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai, KYO-Kongba Nongthombam Leikai, EYCA-Kongpal Amom Thong, KLLYC-Kongba Laishram Leikai and Kongpal Mutum Leikai.
Meanwhile, a release issued by Village Volunteer Force WF), Moidangpok informed that its members have been providing all possible help to the flood-affected people by engaging in relief, rescue and rehabilitation activities across the flood-hit areas of Imphal East and West districts.
In a coordinated endeavour with the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Imphal, VVF distributed drinking water to the villagers of Moidangpok, Khaidem and Sajirok.
On June 1, embankments in Moidangpok, Khaidem, and Khabi were reinforced by volunteers of VVF Moidangpok and Kamong units to prevent breaches, averting further devastation, it said, adding that rescue operations on June 3 along with WF Moirang relocated five families and salvaged food supplies in Thambalkhong,-Wangkhei and Ayangpali.
Highlighting the dire condition of flood-affected villagers of Moidangpok Khunou, Sajirok and Khabi in Imphal West and Bishnupur districts, the release urged department concerned to mitigate suffering of the people.
