CCpur, March 28 2026:
Assam Rifles partnered with the Community Health Centre (CHC) Singhat and Metrozone Health Services to conduct a comprehensive health camp at St Joseph's School, Singhat today.
According to a press release issued by IGAR (S), the collaborative initiative was specifically designed to provide essential medical support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable residents from the surrounding areas.
The camp successfully reached around 285 beneficiaries, providing free consultations and medicines to 51 men, 98 women and 131 children.
A primary focus was placed on maternal welfare, with five pregnant and lactating women receiving dedicated ante-natal and post-natal care kits.
To ensure thorough medical coverage, a joint team of 16 personnel - comprising doctors and nursing staff from both the CHC and Assam Rifles, alongside pharmacy and support staff - worked tirelessly throughout the day.
This outreach was further strengthened by the generous contribution of medicines from the Catholic Church and Metro Zone Health Services.
