Imphal, May 24 2026: Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh today inaugurated a newly constructed Water ATM Booth at Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai, marking another step toward grassroots development in the constituency.

The facility is part of a pilot project under which only 20 Water ATM Booths were sanctioned across the State.

Sagolband has been allotted two, with the second booth at Meino Leirak set for inauguration shortly.

Speaking at the event, Imo Singh said access to clean and affordable drinking water is a basic necessity, not a privilege.

The Water ATM will provide 20 litres of purified drinking water for Rs 10, compared to the market rate of Rs 50-60, offering major relief to residents.

The MLA added that Sagolband has seen consistent, people-centric development over the past 14 years, with improvements in water supply, power, roads, healthcare, PDS distribution, education, and social welfare, making the constituency a model of committed public service.
