Imphal, September 22 2025:
In a spirited initiative to foster awareness and patriotism among the youth, Assam Rifles conducted a series of interactive sessions on Operation Sindoor across educational institutions in Manipur.
As per a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), the outreach programme, held on September 20 and 22, 2025, drew enthusiastic participation from over 275 students, reflecting the force's enduring commitment to national development through educational engagements.
The first session took place on September 20 at Rengkai Government Higher Secondary School and Orion Academy of Science & Arts in Churachandpur district.
Welcomed warmly by the Principals, the guest speaker from Assam Rifles engaged students with a compelling overview of Operation Sindoor, supported by a dynamic video presentation.
The session delved into the genesis, strategic planning, and execution of the operation, highlighting the seamless coordination among the Indian Armed Forces.
Students were introduced to cutting-edge military technologies such as drones, surveillance systems, and precision-guided munitions, which played a pivotal role in the mission's success.
Continuing the momentum, a similar session was held on September 22 at Tengnoupal, where local students engaged deeply with the operational and international dimensions of Operation Sindoor.
The event underscored the strategic use of media during high-stakes missions, balancing operational secrecy with public awareness.
Beyond the tactical aspects, the programme emphasized the importance of leadership, discipline, and service to the nation.
Students were also briefed on various entry schemes into the Indian Aimed Forces, inspiring many to consider a future in uniform.
The interactive discussions that followed allowed students and faculty to explore the evolving nature of warfare and India's growing role in global security forums.
