COCOMI women volunteers storm ministers' residences

Imphal, June 21 2024:
Continuing its protest demanding announcement of a firm decision to the people about the present conflict that erupted on May 3, 2023, Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) women wing on Thursday tried to storm quarter of social welfare minister H Dingo and residence of MAHUD minister Y Khemchand.
The protestors tried to storm Singjamei Yumnam Leikai residence of minister Y Khemchand but were halted by police before reaching.
However, the minister came out from his house and met the protestors, who demanded the minister to announce firm stand regarding the conflict and to resign if he could not take responsibility to end the conflict as a representative of the people.
The minister accepted the demands of the protestors stating that the state is more important from his post as representative of the people.
So, he also accepted the decision taken by the people.
COCOMI women wing also tried to storm the quarters of social welfare minister H Dingo located at New Checkon.
As the minister was not there, the protestors waited for the minister.
After half an hour, the minister came and met the protestors declaring that he shall accept the decisions taken by the people.
