Imphal, February 21 2026: JNIMS Academic Society kicked off the two-day 5th annual conference JASCON 2026 at JNIMS auditorium today under the theme "Innovation in medical education: Expectations and challenges" .

JNIMS faculty members, clinicians, researchers, post graduate students and medical students attended the event.

Speaking as the chief guest, Professor Longjam Usharani Devi, Director, JNIMS said that plans are underway to open a multi disciplinary research unit at JNIMS.

The event was attended by Professor Kh Lokeshwar Singh, Medical Superintendent, JNIMS as the functional president and Professor Supriya Laifangbam, Dean Academics, JNIMS and Professor Nidarsh D Hegde, Principal Dental College, JNIMS as the guests of honour.

Dr Irom Anil Singh, Organizing Secretary, JASCON 2026 was graced the event.
