Foundation Day celebrated, meritorious award distributed

Imphal, June 20 2025: The Uripok Walking Party Welfare Association marked its Foundation Day with a grand "Meritorious Award Distribution Function" on Friday.

The event held at the Yambem Mohori Memorial Youth Club Hall in Uripok Yambem Leikai, recognised the outstanding academic achievements of the toppers of Class X & XII examinations conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM from the zone spanning Nagamapal to Iroisemba.

The function was graced by dignitaries, including Uripok Walking Party Welfare Association president Dr K Gopal, vice president Ph Bijen, advisor G Budhachandra, Dr N Dwijamani, Dr Th Ibocha and N Nodiachand, former MLA of Uripok AC.

At the event, the dignitaries lauded the students for their outstanding achievement and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavours.

They also shared their thoughts and stories, expressing pride in supporting educational excellence and its importance.

Presentation of awards to the meritorious students and offering of floral tributes to the deceased members of the association were the main highlights of the event.

Moreover, the Malem Ima Kanba Lup (MIKL) also celebrated its 2nd Foundation Day at the Loktak Hall of Manipur Press Club, Imphal today.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including MIKL Kangleipak president, Yumnam Kamalini; Kanglei Ima Lup (KIL) president, RK Sanahanbi; UCM & COCOMI senior consultative member, Yumnamcha Dilupkumar; MIKL Kangleipak advisor, Birjit Tourangbam and Dr Laishram Deben, former Director of JNIMS.

MIKL general secretary Maibam Sobhalata Leina was also present at the event.
