All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has called for registration of private schools with the department concerned, informing that the decision to this effect was taken along with other resolutions during a meeting of the association held on Saturday at Manipur Press Club.
In a release, AMRPSWA secretary P Romen Singh stated that the resolutions were adopted during the meeting after the government had assured, in a previous meeting held on May 13 at the Directorate of Education (S), that it would uphold its commitment to protecting the interests of private schools.
The earlier meeting was held with private school associations, Education (S) director, additional, directors (Hills and Valley) and additional director of Planning.
The resolutions, among others, stipulate that all member schools shall ensure their registration with concerned department within the stipulated timeframe.
In case of any difficulties or challenges faced during the process, the association will take prompt steps to address them.
The statement further informed that AMRPSWA will oversee the policies and actions of the government, stating that in the event of any adverse developments or directives affecting the schools, immediate and appropriate measures will be taken to safeguard the interests of the member schools.
According to Romen Singh, once a stable government is established in the state, the association will formally present its grievances and long-standing issues for resolution.
Efforts will be made to seek a permanent and constructive settlement of these maters through dialogue and representation, he added.
