Training courses for IDP students conclude

Imphal, June 15 2025:
The three-month Computer Literacy Programme and Spoken English classes, organised by Ihul Foundation with support of RPI (A) vice president Sapamcha Kangleipak for the internally displaced students residing in relief camps concluded on Sunday with the valedictory function held at Khwai Ihul Foundation office, Nongada.
The function was attended by Sapamcha Kangleipak Pungdongbam Zila Parishad former pradhan Irungbam Rabi and SSUM president So-raisam Yaima as presidium members.
Certificates were distributed to participating students, and gifts presented to the two teachers in honour of their role in the success of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Kangleipal highlighted that among the five panchayats under Lamlai assembly constituency, Takhel Sanjenbam and Nongren Chingnungkhok GPs lack proper and well-functioning government educational institutions.
He added that the constituency has been among the most affected by the ongoing crisis that began on May 3, 2023, following the hardships brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In light of these challenges, the free computer and spoken English courses were initiated to benefit students affected by the crisis and currently taking shelter in relief camps, he said.
