AR's National Integration Tour bridges heritage & horizons

The Assam Rifles National Integration Tour (NIT) has successfully completed its Gujarat leg, bringing 23 delegates from Manipur onajoumey through the State's rich history and modem achievements.
As per a release issued by HQ IGAR( South), the tour aimed to weave together lessons of resilience, innovation, and national unity.
The delegation's itinerary included significant landmarks that highlight India's diverse heritage and progress.
Participants visited the iconic Atal Bridge, where they observed people-centric design and inclusive urban planning.
The journey continued to Dandi Kutir, where the ideals of truth, non-violence, and self-reliance championed by Mahatma Gandhi were brought to life through immersive storytelling, prompting reflection on enduring national values.
A vibrant display of grassroots entrepreneurship and cultural preservation was found at Law Garden, showcasing how community effort can fuel economic growth.
The emotional high point of the tour was the visit to the Statue of Unity, a towering reminder of Sardar Patel's vision and the strength derived from collective resolve.
The delegates also paid a courtesy call on Governor Acharya Devvrat, who lauded the Assam Rifles' role in fostering peace and integration, particularly in the Northeast region.
At Gujarat Science City, interactive exhibits provided a glimpse into India's expanding scientific frontiers.
The tour concluded with a meaningful exchange with Maj Gen Gourav Bagga, GOC 11 Infantry Division, who emphasized the shared responsibility of safeguarding national security and nurturing civil society's role in stability and development.
With spirits lifted and perspectives widened, the delegation now proceeds to New Delhi, carrying with them the valuable lessons of unity and progress learned in Gujarat.
