Assam Rifles engages local stakeholders and CSOs
to foster stability in border region of Chandel district

In a significant step towards fostering peace and cooperation in Manipur's sensitive border region, Assam Rifles convened a Security Coordination Meeting with prominent Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and local stakeholders at Sajik Tampak, Chandel District.
The initiative reaffirmed the Force's commitment to inclusive engagement, mutual trust-building and collaborative efforts for regional stability.
As per a release issued by the IGAR (South), the meeting brought together representatives from various local stakeholders and community bodies including the Kuki Inpi Chandel, Kuki Chiefs Association, Kuki Women's Organisation for Human Rights, and the Kuki Students Organisation.
Their active participation reflected the community's deep-rooted commitment to constructive dialogue and its recognition of the vital role played by Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and security.
The interaction was marked by candid and meaningful exchanges on pressing local concerns, aspirations for development, and the shared responsibility of safeguarding the region.
