TRI conducts IEC camp on PM JANMAN, DAJGUA

Tribal Research Institute (TRI) continued to embark on nationwide Information, Education & Communication (IEC) campaign on Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) and Pradhan Mantri Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (PM DAJGUA) - two largest tribal empowering schemes in the country, at various schools and colleges in Senapati district.
The state team led by tribal affairs and hills deputy director/TRI administrative officer John Gaidingam Dangmei, accompanied by former Miss Manipur and face of IEC campaign Phapha Gaichui; Senapati ADC CEO Adahrii Maheo; Padma Shri Guru Rewben Mashangva; Goodwill Music Project founder and GMP Band front man James Riamei; and filmmaker Ashok Veilou and IEC media in-charge Yuri, actively took up IEC campus saturation drive on Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJA).
The team sensitised students on saturation of benefits under various schemes of the government for the tribal community.
They also mentioned that awareness programmes in educational institution are being conducted to invigorate tribal students' energy, inculcate creativity, and foster community connections contributing to the success of the IEC campaign.
For further spreading awareness on DAJA objective, the tribal students and youth were asked to engage in various activities including, sharing knowledge and information with the communities on government schemes, disseminating IEC materials, making video reels and other.

As part of the programme, pamphlets, and brochures on different schemes under various ministries were distributed.
Later, the head of Mt Pisgah College, St Xavier College, Don Bosco College, Maram and Asufii Christian Institute (ACI) administered the DAJA pledge.
