Imphal, July 22 2025:
Health Services director Dr Chambo Golmei has said that there is technical issue behind non-declaration of the merit list of NEET-2025 but the same will be resolved soon and pending merit list declared accordingly.
As chief guest at the launch function of Stop Diarrhoea Campaign-2025, Dr Chambo said he has held detailed discussion with commissioner (health) on non-declaration of NEET-2025 merit list for the state.
Merit list is already with the department but cannot declare without getting approval and resolving technical issue.
Other states also face similar problem but the issue will be resolved soon and the merit list will be declared after getting approval, he assured.
Regarding the campaign, Dr Chambo said many children belonging to economically weak families succumb to diarrhoea and parents of such families need extra precaution and care for their children.
Diarrhoea is dangerous if not treated timely and parents should always keep their children neat and clean and provide safe drinking water.
Infants from zero to six months must be breast-fed to aid prevention of diarrhoea among infants, he said adding that diarrhoea mortality rate could be significantly reduced if children are kept neat and clean and fed properly.
The launch function of Stop Diarrhoea Campaign-2025 jointly organised by State Health Society, NHM Manipur and the Directorate of Health Services was also attended by State Health Society (NHM) Manipur mission director Dr M Dinesh Singh and director (family welfare services) N Hemantakumar Singh.
