KSA rounds up one with fake job orders

Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) members apprehended a Manipur police constable who was caught handing out fake appointment orders for various non-existent posts in Manipur University.
The arrested person has been identified as Kongkham Pradipkumar (36) s/o Mohindro of Thoubal Athokpam.
Speaking in a press meet held in this regard at its Khoyathong office on Monday, KSA president Sukham Bidy-ananda cautioned that there is a gang which is collecting money from people in exchange for various non-existent posts in the MU .
The leader of the gang is Kongkham Pradipkumar, he alleged, adding that he was caught giving out appointment orders to 13 people for the non-existent posts of computer operator, multi-tasking staff, LDC and store keeper.
Bidyananda continued that Pradipkumar collected around Rs 7.5 lakh from innocent people in exchange for getting them jobs.
The LDC post, for which he gave the appointment order, does not exist in the University.
Pradipkumar forged the signature of former registrar of MU, W Chandbabu, in the appointment order dated March 17 .
W Chandbabu, however, has been appointed as the VC of DMU, as per an order on March 8 .
Stating that Pradipkumar misled many unemployed youths of the state, Bidyananda informed that investigations would continue to identify the others involved in the scam.
