Thoubal, October 14 2025: Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Sub-Health Centre (AAM SHC), Thoubal Khunou organised the observation of International Day of Older Persons under the aegis of District Health Society Thoubal and National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly (NPHCE) Thoubal.

The event was held at the premises of the Centre.

As a part of the event, Tongbram Bijaya Devi, Community Health Officer, Thoubal Khunou AAM SHC and a team led by Dr Sereo Thoubal District Nodal NPPC (National Programme for Palliative Care) Officer along with UPHC Phoudel medical team conducted a screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) for the senior citizens.

Additionally, physiotherapists demonstrated the correct ways to exercise to the aging population of the area.

Simple gifts were presented to roughly 30 senior persons on the occasion.
