CRPF assists state students in Kashmir

Imphal, May 11 2025:
Swiftly responding to a frantic appeal made through the social media by one Ksh Jabaskumar Singh, a student of SKAUST Sopore, Baramulla in Kashmir, seeking urgent help for evacuation from the Kashmir valley amidst rising tensions gripping Kashmir Valley and other parts of Northern and North-Western India, 84 Bn CRPF commandant N Ranbir Singh immediately intervened and in close coordination with the university administration, helped in timely and safe evacuation of 39 distressed students of SKAUST.
The students include six from Manipur, none from Bihar, one each from Jharkhand, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi, four students each from West Bengal, Assam and Tripura, three from Nagaland and six from Odisha.
As per a release by 84 Bn CRPF, the students were evacuated from Pampore and brought to Tactical headquarters of 84 Bn at Ramban on Saturday evening.
The students were provided free accommodation, food and essential logistics and halted at 84 Bn CRPF Boom Ramban.
On Sunday, the students were safely transported up to Jammu railway station for onward journey to their respective states.
The students expressed their gratitude to N Ranbir and the personnel of 84 Bn for their compassion and valuable support during the crisis time, it said.
