Assam Rifles strengthens bonds with villagers through 'A Day with Coy Commander' at Kwatha

Assam Rifles organised 'A Day with Company Commander' at Kwatha Village in Tengnoupal District on Thursday, bringing together troops and villagers in a celebration of trust, unity and friendship.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the day began with a spirited volleyball match between Assam Rifles personnel and villagers, setting the tone for camaraderie and healthy competition.
Children joined in a lively tug-of-war, learning teamwork and discipline, while women and children participated enthusiastically in musical chair games that filled the atmosphere with laughter and inclusiveness.
Around 110 villagers took part in the activities, reflecting the warmth and goodwill shared between the community and the force.
The prize distribution ceremony recognised the efforts of all participants, reinforcing the spirit of togetherness.
An interactive session with villagers formed the heart of the programme, where collective responsibility and cooperation were emphasised in addressing border-related challenges that affect peace and security.
The dialogue highlighted the importance of unity and trust between security forces and the local population in maintaining stability in sensitive border areas.
