Thoubal College organises symposium on climate and environment

Thoubal, May 26 2026: As part of the observance of World Environment Day 2026, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Green Audit Committee and the Department of Environmental Science of Thoubal College jointly organised a one-day college-level symposium at the multipurpose hall of the college on Monday.

The programme was organised under the initiative of the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change and was held under the theme "Inspire by Nature, For Climate, For the Future".

The inaugural function of the symposium was attended by Principal of Thoubal College Professor A Nabachandra Singh as chief guest, President of Thoubal College Teacher Association Dr N Ibobi Singh as functional president, while IQAC Coordinator of Thoubal College Dr L Akendrajit Singh and Convenor of the Green Audit Committee Dr Th Tomba Singh attended as guests of honour.

Delivering the keynote address, Asst Professor of the Department of Geology Sh Janendro stated that the winners of the symposium would represent the college at the State-level competition.

The symposium focused on raising awareness about environmental protection, climate change and sustainable practices among students and faculty members.
