Kshetrigao Meitei Pangal United Clubs (KM-PUC) spokesperson Mood Nishad Khan has demanded government and Manipur Police to take appropriate action against one Md Parwij Khan of Lilong Sambrukhong Mathak for opening fire and injuring a six-year old child on July 18.Addressing the media at the KMPUC office on Thursday, Mood recounted that Aribam Araman Hussain (6), son of Aribam Anuwan Hussain (39), and his four-year old brother were playing near a fish farm around 1:30 pm on July 18, when a round fired by Parwij Khan from his double barrell gun hit Araman on his arm.
He also decried that despite efforts by KMPUC to resolve the matter, the accused has been unresponsive.
Condemning Parwij's action, Nishad cautioned that if the incident is not resolved soon then the police must act against the culprit as per the law.
