Sit-in protest at Langmeidong demands safe release of six Naga civilians

Thoubal, May 24 2026: Demanding the safe release of six N aga civilians allegedly being held hostage by Kuki militants, a sit-in protest demonstration was staged yesterday at Langmeidong YGC Playground.

The protest was jointly organised by the Langmeidong United Club Organisation (LUCO) and LAMPAL, Langmeidong.

A large number of local residents and volunteers took part in the demonstration, expressing concern over the prevailing situation and calling for immediate intervention to ensure the safe return of the six civilians.

During the protest, demonstrators displayed placards bearing slogans such as "Unity is Strength", "Let Us Unite", "Stop Divide and Rule Policy", "Release the Six Naga Civilians Immediately", "Stop Proxy War", "We Want Peace", and "Protect the Territorial Integrity of Manipur" .
