College felicitates its sports achievers

Imphal, June 18 2025: Lilong Haoreibi College Internal Quality Cell and Lilong Haoreibi College Students' Union jointly organised 'Felicitation of sports achievers, 2024-25' at the multipurpose hall of the college on June 16.Those felicitated included former students of the college namely Mohamad Rakip (East Bengal FC defender) and Mohammad Yasir (FC Goa midfielder), present college students - Aziz Mirja (Manipur Men's U-23 Cricket), Md Aqeel Ahamed Phundreimayum (Manipur Mens U-19 Cricket), Daniyal Makakmayum (Chennaiyin FC), Sahid Khan (Manipur Men s U-20 Football), Md Alam Azad (Martial Arts Champion), Sameer Shah (Manipur University Men's Kabaddi), Manjtir (Manipur University Men's Kabaddi), Alimas (Manipur University Women's Kabaddi), Phundreimayum Awes Al-lam (International Karate), Kh Samir Khan (Wushu), Md Rahish (Wushu), Kh Zabed Hussain (Athletics), Md Habibullah Buyamayum (Manipur Junior Kabaddi) and Md Hasib Khan (Kabaddi).

The programme was attended by Lilong Haoreibi College Sports Committee convenor A Dhaneshwor Singh, Lilong Sports Association vice president Md Ali Hassan and College principal Prof Md A Sattar as presidium members.

In his address, Ali Hassan said that a society will develop when the people are healthy and educated.

Stating that Lilong Sports Association has been established to nurture talented sportsperson and bring laurels for the state, he also informed that the under PATHAP FC various coaching programmes are being conducted to produce quality football players.
