Assam Rifles organised "A Day with Company Commander" at Aibol Joupi village on Saturday.
As pera a release issued by the IGAR (S), the event witnessed participation from 113 villagers and aimed to promote community engagement through sports, education, environmental awareness and youth development.
The day commenced with a career guidance session, where the Company Commander addressed the local youth, offering insights into various career opportunities and encouraging them to pursue their ambitions with dedication and perseverance.
Children of the village participated enthusiastically in a drawing competition, showcasing their artistic talent and creativity.
One of the major highlights of the event was a spirited volleyball match between the youth of Aibol Joupi and Assam Rifles personnel.
In this closely contested game, the village youth emerged victorious, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship.
The Company Commander lauded their performance and presented tokens of appreciation.
Following the match, a physical endurance challenge was conducted, allowing local youth to test their fitness against military standards.
A tree plantation drive was also organised to promote environmental sustainability, raise awareness about ecological issues, and inspire collective responsibility towards a greener future.
The event concluded with refreshments for all participants, reinforcing the spirit of camaraderie and hospitality.
