CRPF distributes solar street lights under CAP in Noney

Imphal, December 16 2025:
Under the aegis of the IG M&N Sector, the 86 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Tupul village, Noney district on Tuesday.
As part of the programme, solar street lights were distributed to the villagers to improve basic infrastructure and support sustainable development in the area.
The event was graced by Ravindra Kumar.
Second-in-Command of 86 Bn CRPF as the chief guest.
Among others present were K James Rongmei, Asst Commandant of 86 Bn CRPF, Inspector Ng Parihanba of 86 Bn, Inspector Gadadhar Mandal of G/167 Bn CRPF, village authority members, women society organisation members, village elders and local residents.
Addressing the gathering, Ravindra Kumar said that the distribution of solar street lights was aimed at supporting the local population and contributing to the overall development of the region.
He emphasized that such initiatives reflect the CRPF's commitment to fostering peace, prosperity and strengthening goodwill and positive relations between the force and the local communities.
The village chairmen and residents of both villages expressed their appreciation for the initiative taken by the 86 Bn CRPF and conveyed their heartfelt gratitude.
They also expressed hope that similar welfare-oriented activities would continue in the future for the benefit of the people.
