NCC Air Wing cadets get first hand look at modern weaponry

Imphal, May 16 2026: In an effort to foster patriotism and provide technical exposure to the youth, the 33 Sector Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive weapon display today for National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air Wing cadets.

The event was a key highlight of the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp-16 cum North Eastern Region Flying Camp 2026, held at JNV Khumbong under the supervision of the 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC .

Around 350 cadets from across the North-Eastern States participated in the session.

The display offered a rare opportunity for students to interact with modem military hardware currently utilized by the Indian Armed Forces.

Personnel of 33 Sector AR explained the technical specifications, handling procedures, and safety measures associated with different weapons and defence systems.

Cadets showed a keen interest in the proceedings, engaging in active Q&A sessions with military instructors.

Many participants described the experience as motivational and inspiring, providing them with a deeper understanding of the role security forces play in safeguarding national sovereignty.
