Don't fabricate success tales: MP Alfred to DLOs

Ukhrul, July 14 2025:
Outer Manipur Lok Sabha MP Alfred Kanngam Arthur chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC/DISHA) meeting for Ukhrul district on Monday, in the presence of Chingai MLA Khashim Vashum and Ukhrul DC Ashish Das.
During the meeting held at the DRDA training hall, Mini-Secretariat, MP Alfred, who is the DISHA Committee chairman, meticulously reviewed presentations from various line departments.
Stressing the importance of commitment to their services, he urged all departments to ensure effective execution of government schemes and projects for the benefit of the public.

He encouraged the departments to perform at their best and contribute to meaningful positive changes in the community.
The DISHA chairman also asked the District Level Officers (DLOs) to discuss the challenges their departments face in implementing schemes and projects rather than fabricating a success story, assuring them of his constant support in addressing them.
MLA Khashim Vashum stressed the need for departments to be well- informed with upcoming programmes and the number of project proposals submitted, apart from ensuring proper execution of ongoing initiatives.
DC Ashish Das outlined the objectives of the DISHA meeting, highlighting the importance of transparency and accountability in the various schemes and projects.
He reminded departments to keep their presentations concise and accurate.
A total of 27 major line departments, including ZEO, PMGSY, PWD, PHED, Minor Irrigation, Medical, Electricity/MSPDCL, Agriculture, Lead Bank Manager, DIC, Handloom & Handicraft, CAF&PD, ICDS, District Social Welfare (DSWO), UDCRMS, One Stop Centre (OSC), MoBED/PMJVK, ADC, TA & Hills, Veterinary, NHIDCL, Forest, Relief & Disaster, MSRLM, DRDA, and the Planning Department, presented their PowerPoint presentations covering the past seven years, highlighting achievements, current status of schemes, and challenges.
The next DISHA meeting for the district is scheduled for September.
