Imphal, October 13 2025: The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Imphal, in collaboration with staff and students of Wangkhei High School, Imphal, organised a 'Swachta Hi Seva' campaign and tree plantation drive under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative at the school premises today.

Led by Dr Engam Pame, Director, PIB Imphal, the cleanliness drive was conducted as part of the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0, which is being observed from October 2 to 31, 2025 .

As per a release issued by PIB Imphal, the campaign aims to promote cleanliness, environmental sustainability, and the importance of tree plantation.

Over 40 students and teaching staff actively participated in the cleanliness drive and planted trees, symbolizing their commitment to a greener and cleaner environment.

The students along with staff of PIB Imphal also took the Swachhta Pledge to uphold cleanliness as part of the national Swachh Bharat Mission.
