Imphal, November 03 2025: A man who allegedly committed a crime of trespassing, assaulting and snatching a gold chain has been remanded in police custody.

The accused RK Sanakhomba (31) s/o Marjit of Sagolband Bijoy Govinda was produced before the Court of CJM with a prayer for police custody remand.

APP submitted that a complainant was lodged by Soubam (Ongbi) Umarani stating that the accused came and unlawfully trespassed into her parental house located at Thangmeiband Polem Leikai at around 5.30 pm yesterday.

Sanakhomba allegedly assaulted Umarani's younger brother over some verbal confrontation regarding his visit to the house.

The complainant's younger brother sustained serious injuries on his head and other parts ofthe body.

The accused destroyed many valuable household properties during the scuffle and allegedly snatched one gold necklace.
