Sekmai AC MLA inspects Khurkhul Water Supply Scheme

Imphal, September 02 2025: Sekmai AC MLA Heikham Dingo inspected the condition ofKhurkhul Water Supply Scheme today.

The MLA was accompanied by the EE, AE and SO of Imphal West PHED Division, said a release.

The MLA also interacted with the locals of Khurkhul Awang Leikai and spoke with them regarding the availability of drinking water in their area.

He further advised the PHED officials on the subject of providing potable water to over 100 households in Khurkhul Awang Leikai.

Saying that the capacity of Khurkhul Water Supply Scheme is 1.00 MLD (Megaliter per day), he added it should supply water to Khurkhul and Moibung Khunou village.

He asserted that it is his goal to give every family access to drinking water.

Additionally, the Sekmai AC MLA assured to instruct the relevant authorities to complete the construction of Keingam & Kanto Water Supply Scheme taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission very soon.
