Leibaklei Foundation opens Public Library in Phayeng

Imphal, January 30 2026: Leibaklei Foundation has inaugurated a public library in Phayeng, aiming to promote reading and creative learning among young minds.

The library boasts over 1,000 physical books and provides a conducive space for intellectual exploration.

The inauguration ceremony held on Friday was attended by the Head Masters of Phayeng High School and Wisdom English Academy, senior teacher from the School of Human Resource Development, Phayeng, and parents of the winners of the Drawing Competition organised by the Leibaklei Foundation at Heiyu Park on November 16, 2025.At the event, the Headmaster of Phayeng Government High School praised the initiative, stating "The library has become a treasure trove of knowledge which students can access at their convenience".

The foundation also celebrated the winners of its Drawing Competition, awarding prizes and library membership cards to 13 students.

Leibaklei Foundation plans to organise annual learning events, engaging children in linguistic, spatial, and logical activities, to foster access, agency, and aspiration for young learners in Manipur.
