13 students leave for ISRO Bengaluru

Imphal, August 27 2025: A team of students left Imphal today to participate in the North East Student Programme for Awareness, Reach and Knowledge on Space (NE-SPARKS) 2025 .

The team was officially flagged from the Imphal Airport by Bisheshwar Khumukcham, Additional Director of Education (S/V) and Dangmei Manglem, Additional Director of Education (S/H), in the presence of parents, teachers and other officials of the department.

The programme is jointly organised by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bengaluru; NESAC, Shillong; the Planning and Education (S) Departments, Manipur.

A total of 13 students from the districts of Imphal West, Kakching, and Jiribam, accompanied by Teacher Coordinator Lisam Jiteshwari Devi, Lecturer, Ibotonsana Higher Secondary School, Imphal, will be undertaking this prestigious exposure visit.

The students will visit the ISRO Headquarters, Bengaluru, from August 27 to 30, where they will interact with senior scientists and gain firsthand exposure to India's cutting-edge space research and satellite technology.
