CM Khemchand meets National Bjp President Nitin Nabin

New Delhi, February 23 2026:
Manipur Chief Minister, Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh today afternoon called on the BJP National President, Shri Nitin Nabin at the national office of BJP in New Delhi.
Shri Khemchand was accompanied by his two deputy chief ministers, Shri Losii Dikho of the Naga People’s Front (NPF), and Smt Nemcha Kipgen of the BJP.
Smt Kipgen who hails from Kangpokpi district is the first woman deputy chief minister of Manipur.
This is also the first time that Shri Khemchand met Shri Nabin after taking charge as the state’s new BJP chief minister on February 4 last.
During the meeting, the BJP national president discussed with Shri Khemchand on the matters relating to the strengthening of the state party unit.
Shri Nabin also asked the chief minister to speed up the state government’s effort on the resettlement of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) .
He assured all possible help from the party’s side in this effort.
Shri Khemchand was elected as the new leader of Manipur's BJP Legislature Wing at New Delhi on February 3 last.
He was the first BJP chief minister to be elected after Shri Nabin took charge of the saffron party.
Earlier in the day, Shri Khemchand also met party’s National General Secretary (Organisation) Shri B L Santosh.
