Occupation of PWD office decried

Thadou Students' Association (TSA) has expressed deep concern over the alleged illegal occupation of Sadar Hills PWD office at Kangpokpi district headquarters by Kuki Students' Organisation, Sadar Hills (KSO-SH) and others.
According to a statement of TSA, the PWD Sa dar Hills division has been compelled to function from Khoyathong, Imphal due to illegal occupation of its office at Kangpokpi town by KSO and others while attempt to set up a temporary camp office at Daili village located around 1km from Kangpokpi district headquarter is facing objections.
The TSA statement issued by spokesperson Vicky Thadou contended that if anyone objects to functioning of PWD from.
Daili village, it must also demand to vacate the original PWD Sadar Hills office premises at Kangpokpi immediately and hand over the land and building to the legitimate authority.
It said that public deserve efficient administration and such illegal encroachment of government office premises by any organisation is unacceptable and against the rule of law.
The TSA urged the Governor, district administration and department concerned to take prompt action to restore the PWD office at Kangpokpi to enable execution of public works effectively for the welfare and development of Sadar Hills and its people.
