CRPF organises civic action programme

Kangpokpi, September 20 2026: Under the aegis of the IG, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, the 158 Battalion organized a civic action programme at E/158, Chiru Village, under PS Kangchup in Kangpokpi district; on September 19.As a part of this welfare initiative, essential community infrastructure items, livelihood support, and sports equipment - specifically solar street lights, chicks, ducklings, and sports kits - were distributed among the local villagers and youth, said a press note by the CRPF.

The installation of solar street lights will significantly improve safety and mobility, enabling villagers to travel securely within the village during night hours.

To support rural farming and livelihoods, chicks and ducklings were provided for small scale farming and assisting local communities in generating sustainable income.

Additionally, sports kits were distributed to the local youth to promote sportsmanship, fitness and active community participation, added the press note.
