Imphal, May 18 2025: Two books titled, "The Success Story of Natural Farming in Manipur" and "Manipur da Santhi Sanyung na Semba Natural Farming Maipakpa Ngamle" authored by Laishram Gokulchandra were released today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

The book release function was graced by dignitaries, including K Debadutta Sharma, Director, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur; Khongbantabam Nimaichand, Nodal Officer, MOVCD-NER, Department of Agriculture, Government of Manipur and Tourangban Indrajit Meitei, Caretaker Corporator, Ward No 6 (IMC).

At the event, the dignitaries elaborated on natural farming which is a sustainable, chemical-free agricultural method that emphasizes using natural processes and indigenous resources for soil fertility and crop growth.

They also encouraged farmers to adopt organic/natural farming to improve soil health, enhance environmental sustainability and boost their income at the same time.

Lauding the author, they said that the books delved into the principles and practices of natural farming, highlighting the wisdom gained from decades of personal experience.
