Inspiring Futures: Assam Rifles holds career counseling session at JNV Churachandpur

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Churachandpur witnessed an inspiring initiative on March 16, 2026, when Khuga Battalion Assam Rifles organised a career counselling session for its students.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the programme was designed to motivate and guide the youth towards meaningful career choices, with a special focus on opportunities in the Indian Army.
An officer from Khuga Battalion delivered an engaging talk on the theme "Indian Army: A Way of Life", acquainting students with the diverse avenues available in the armed forces.
The session highlighted why the Indian Army remains a rewarding career option, emphasising its values of discipline, leadership, courage and commitment.
Students were introduced to various entry schemes such as the National Defence Academy (NDA), Combined Defence Services (CDS), Short Service Commission (SSC), Technical Entry Scheme (TES) and Other pathways that open doors to serving the nation.
The interaction was attended by 60 students from classes VIII to XII, including 37 boys and 23 girls, along with the School Counsellor and the Principal.
The young participants showed keen interest in understanding the opportunities and challenges of military life, actively engaging with the officer during the session.
The initiative was warmly appreciated by the school authorities, who recognised its role in broadening the horizons of students and inspiring them to consider careers of service and responsibility.
Through such outreach programmes, Assam Rifles continues to contribute to nationbuilding by guiding the youth towards purposeful futures and instilling in them the spirit of dedication to the country.
